SO... now here we are in August. Last year it was a beast! no rain at all and average temp of over 100 for the whole month. now this year we are have an avg. temp of 87 and rain and more rain.
today is the third day in a row of rain and clouds. I am quite pleased with the whole thing and have been sitting long spells watching birds and drinking coffee while the kids glut themselves watching the olympics. Then once in a while they will run out in the rain in their swim suits and pretend to be olympic volleyball players or badminton team USA.... the pine trees are dripping with wet badminton birdies that won't fly down and play...maybe a good wind will bring them down....but I don't mind since I found several cans of them for clearance at wal-mart!
It seems all the world has started school...this is only one of the things I love about homeschooling! we don't start til AFTER Labor day. So while the rest of the world is back to school routine we are still playing and watching rain and drinking coffee. :)
I'll think about routine next week :)
