home again

I missed those little guys.....
this is said tongue in cheek...the little part I mean....
as both the boys are nearly a head taller than I
now...baby girl is still shorter...but from behind...
when I watched her walk away...it really struck
me how she is resembling a young teen now...a few
curves and a way of moving that is more graceful
than she moved a few months ago. I think...
it can't be that they are going to soon be grown
up and leave for real. Then they will follow big
sister and move away and only call once in a while
and I really don't want this to happen...yet that
is exactly what I did. I grew up...got married...
moved away...and did it with a smile...never thinking
how sad and lonely my parents were.

ok...I'm getting a grip here...

the kids are home from camp and I am glad.
I did enjoy my quieter days and time with Billy
and less housework...but I missed them and I
wanted them to come home.

now for that mountain of smelly laundry!

THE KIDS ARE GOING TO CAMP

ok....the kids are leaving tomorrow right after church. their bags are packed. their sack lunches
are planned and only need to be bagged tomorrow morning. they have spending money that
they earned themselves by passing out phone books door to door. (dad helped)
this is all cool. billy and i will get four days alone. don't have any plans but i do want to read a lot, watch some videos and go out to eat. also, maybe find some place to have a picnic and sit by some water somewhere. pretty vague, i know....but i am looking forward to some time with just us two.

about 4 months ago the kids heard about this summer camp that their youth group was planning to attend. it costs a lot of money. we told the kids we would not have that much
money. they kept talking about it so one day i told them if they were to go to this camp we would have to see God do something pretty big. we prayed. they prayed. one day someone
we know called and said he wanted to send the kids to camp. pay for all of it. would they
like to go? by then the deadline had passed. but we called and asked if it were still possible.
it WAS!! so, now we have all seen God provide something Big and Cool for our kids.
they are so excited and so am I.....for them!!! I'm praying they will have the best time and
see God use this week to teach them something really wonderful about Him.

rejoice with us!!
