little bits of things

i wish you could see all the interesting things springing up in my yard.  this is my first spring in this house....and i am finding little bits of things blooming and growing...surprising me with beauty.  makes me want to sit in the yard and watch
things grow...

the only thing is...when i sit in the yard...then i notice weeds and find myself up out of my comfy hammock...pulling them out.

little bit of easter

our tradition is a little different.  we usually go to an earlier service at church and then come home and have brunch.

this year we had fruit salad, blueberry muffins, banana nut bread and scrambled eggs and bacon.

maybe not very exciting...but satisfying and makes the rest of the day easy 

we had also planned a picnic with friends for

the evening...but they all got the flu.

so we didn't have a picnic.  just as

well, since it rained buckets saturday and sunday morning.

it would have been a wet muddy picnic.

we had a good day.

but, we missed our big girl....
