crochet

i have to be in the mood.
if its hot...forget it...
but, at the first hint of fall...
then i get really interested in
crocheting. so, here is my first
project of the year.
hat and scarf for baby girl..
soon to be teen-ager!!

september

my second favorite month.
since october is my favorite...
september is my second.
the mornings have cooled.
there is a different smell.
makes me want to do things
outside ☺

homeschooling joys include not
starting in august. we plan to start
the day after labor day. I know.
no one waits that long. but, when i
was a girl that was always the first
day of school. my kids don't mind.

i have all my plans made. history
and science and reading and spanish and
well, if we have to .....
math. i have the school areas organized
and cleaned. the books are laid out.
the plan book has lots of writing and
post it notes to keep me on track.

the kids are 8th, 9th and 10th grades
this year. sounds like quite a task.
but, i'm excited for the challenge.
happy to be able to homeschool.
happy to have a few more years with
my teens before they fly the coop
and join their older sister out in
the big world.

sometimes, still, i wish they were small
and cuddly and needing me to take care of
them...kiss their hurts, snuggle at nap
time. but, teens do have their charms.
